How do I book an experience?
Register with your details and start the search for your ultimate experience. SJUP is available as a web-based marketplace. It will soon be available on the Google Play and Apple Store.
How does SJUP ensure the quality of guides?
All SJUP guides are registered tour guides and go through stringent security steps before they can register on SJUP. You can ask them to identify themselves with their South African tour guide badge. You’ll be able to identify the top guides through our rating system.
Do I need travel insurance?
It is important to have good travel insurance, especially when travelling in a foreign country. You are responsible for your own insurance when taking part in a SJUP experience. Our hosts will do their best to ensure the safety of you and your belongings. Neither SJUP nor your host will be liable to cover the expenses, in the case of an incident.
How do refunds work?
View our cancellation policy to determine whether you qualify for a refund. Refunds liable will be made to the same card that you booked the experience with. The timing of refunds depends on your bank and country and range between X and X days.
How do payments work?
Payments happen on the SJUP secure payment portal. You will be redirected to your chosen payment option, when making a payment. To simplify future bookings, you can also add your credit card details to the SJUP secure platform. When you make payment, your booking is confirmed. Your guide will receive payment when the experience is over.
